B R E A K I N G ~ N E W S!

My cold has me feeling lightheaded...but I still have to eat. I walked across the street to Lotte Department store to get some food and you won't believe what happened. I was standing, waiting for the woman to finish making my sub when all of a sudden everything went black. When I opened my eyes I was on the floor and everyone was gawking at me like some zoo creature. I jumped up and said "I'm okay" to the lady making my sub. I handed her the money but she was STILL making the sub. All I kept thinking was "why is she so slow?...I'm so embarrassed and tired and just want to get out of here!" Before I knew it, the lights went out again but this time when I got up a lady came up to me and led me to a chair to sit. She brought me some water and got security to escort me to a taxi (which was nice but a waste of money because I lived one block away). As I was walking through the department store with security, I could hear people whispering behind my back. It was the worst feeling ever to faint in that department store when I go there often. I don't want to show my face there anymore. I hope this doesn't happen again, tomorrow, in front of the kids. I wish my mommy could bring me some medicine and Campbell's soup!

Dear Mama.... Partyin' Principals and Paintballin' Through the Cold

The new school semester officially started two weeks ago. It was nice to go out and eat some Thai before the first day. I've been missing it so now it seems like a luxury. Of course, there was a "Korean" order to when they brought things out: first was my entree, then the appetizer, then the drinks, then Anakaren's entree...hmmm. The next day I taught the 6th graders which was mostly me telling them the rules, punishments and rewards. They are the only grade I got to do that with, other than my after school class. The first week was nice because I did not have to do too much and Thursday was a test day so there were no classes. I also had no after school classes (Thank God). Unfortunately, I caught another cold that Wednesday which made teaching very tiring. Somehow I still pulled it together to go to the New Teachers Welcome Dinner on Friday. The food was way better than the sushi we had at the last staff dinner (it was pork ribs). I even went to "Round 2" Noraebang. It's so funny to see the principals jumping around singing. Everyone was having a good time and I even sang two songs: Miley Cyrus-Party in the USA and Justin Bieber-Baby (I knew that everyone could sing the choruses with me)!

*They were all a little tipsy by this point!

It's like I catch a cold every two months. What is happening?! Atleast they are never too serious and go away quickly...or so I thought. This time it turned serious on Friday. I had chills, a headache, couldn't breathe through my nose and it kept running, my throat was on fire and my ears were ringing. But that didn't stop me from going to play paintball. I was trying hard to suck it up because I wanted to finally get out of the house, do something fun and meet new people that like to do the same stuff. And I didn't want to waste my money. I played three games until I used up all my ammo and then I sat out. I don't know how I did it, especially when I got shot in the head...TWICE. Despite that, I still had fun but wasn't very sociable so I didn't make new friends. When I sat out they were all looking at me like I was a weakling. I will try to do another group activity next month and hopefully there will be NO MORE COLDS!

FYI- My after school class is already killing me. I did not realize that I would get all new students and these students are worse than the other ones. It's only 4th graders and 6th graders but there is such a learning gap that one group will have to be at a disadvantage, either I move too fast or too slow. They make me want to scream...but only Tuesdays and Thursdays lol. I also have one zombie 5th grade class on Thursdays that just stare at me and don't respond at all. What to do, What to do?????
